This adaptation (actually one of three separate stories from the opera) is the fantastic and funny story of a poet, E.T.A.Hoffmann who, with magic spectacles given him by the evil Coppélius, falls in love with a beautiful, singing mechanical doll.

When his glasses fall off, reality sets in and all laugh merrily at the confused poet as the curtain falls. Each 35-minute program is sung in English by five, professional singers with live, piano accompaniment. The scene comes with an introduction, arias, dialogues, costumes, sets, and props.
